How not to approach a girl
I really like having quiet time at Starbucks, sitting on my computer or just doing homework, in between tutoring sessions. That being said, I don’t find it particularly a good use of my time to be approached by a normal looking boy, attempting to shove his way into my life.
He said he wanted to ask me a quick question, because he thought of something really interesting. He doesn’t look like a creeper, so I just say okay. He’s a architecture major at UTA, and but he doesn’t really know if that’s what he wants to spend the rest of his life doing. (This is the point where I realized this was 1) not a quick question, and 2) probably not a question at all). He spills out his whole skepticism about his major and his career choice, while trying to get me to explain what I wanted to do and why I wanted to do it. (This could be some sort of elaborate lie, for all I know). I make no eye contact what so ever, and I’m just really trying to figure out what he’s doing here. He finally runs out of things to say (or realizes that you can’t have a conversation by yourself). In his closing line he says he just wanted to come over and talk to me, because I’m really pretty, but I probably get that all the time. I say yeah, at which point he says “oh, okay” with an disappointed expression indicating he really thought that line was going to work.
Yeah freaking right.

Oh my god, I love this story. You’ll have to retell it in December when we see each other again. :]
